The news was later confirmed by Microsoft officials stating they were committed to the Flight Simulator franchise, with expectations to continue product releases in the series, but had nothing specific to announce at that time. On 17 August 2010, Microsoft announced <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Microsoft_Flight\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft Flight<\/a>, a new simulation game that boasts a further improved graphics engine, and enhanced simulation features.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately as of 2011 they have still not release MS FLIGHT.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft Flight Simulator X, also known as FSX, was the last version of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft Flight Simulator<\/a> after <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_2004\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004<\/a>. It includes a graphics engine upgrade as well as compatibility with <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Windows_Vista\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Windows Vista<\/a>, having been marketed by Microsoft as the most important technological milestone in the series to date. It was the first version in the flight simulator series to be released on <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/DVD-ROM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DVD-ROM<\/a>.
