Another Budget Build

So prices are down and we thought it would be a good time to build a new Airframe. This time we are featuring Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 40th Anniversary  Standard Edition.

Why this version? Well first we were not sure if would work with the Mac Mini and from what we found on youtube it was unclear if it would even load without the minimum requirements for Graphics.

Question answered, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 will run on an Apple Mac Mini. Is it playable? Yes.

Pros and Cons

Trimming issues resolved. Trimming seem to be a result of AI pilot assist. Although nice feature it is very buggy and once we disable, trim worked as designed.

ATC assistance, this is a nice feature upgrade from FSX. Although it works most of the time, there are instances when it stops and requires user input to respond to ATC’s last transmission.

Traffic is a whole other issue as of June 2023. Traffic floats above the ground and bridges, Airport Crews seem confused and tend to go around in circles. Under area of several bridges are blocked with polygons(unable to fly under bridges). Key aircraft switches for default aircraft are inoperable. Building structures and most noticeable in Florida coast, appear damaged like they been in a bad storm and have damaged to the physical structure.
